The PRISMA EU10 Seminar: “LEVEL UP YOUR YOUTH WORK”
The four-day seminar held from April 25-30, 2025, in Benalmádena, Spain. This intensive learning experience brought together over 30 participants who engaged in various activities:
Day 1 focused on building foundations through team building, setting expectations, refreshing digital youth work concepts, and reflecting on participants’ backgrounds and challenges.
Day 2 centered on mapping and management, featuring NGO typology simulation games, project management case studies, and exploration of European funding opportunities.
Day 3 provided field experience with visits to good practice sites in La Noria, Malaga and INNOVA, Benalmádena, along with speed-dating sessions to identify common needs and future collaborations.
Day 4 concluded with knowledge exchange through a Fair of Good Practices and a futurizing session to co-create PRISMA’s strategic vision for the next decade.
Showcasing Innovation: The Fair of Good Practices
A highlight of the seminar was the Fair of Good Practices, where participants presented youth work projects focusing on digital, green, and social innovation. Projects included:
“Unlocking Women’s Potential” by Mayowa from ACITVE, focusing on social inclusion
“Voices for the Planet” by Ionelia from GEYC, addressing environmental education
“Right to Youth Allowance” by Magdalena from CDI, promoting youth rights
“Inclusion Policy” by Lina from GEYC, focusing on inclusion and accessibility
“Financial Literacy Changes Lives” by Zita from EKONOMSKA, centered on education
“Activating Youth Participation” by Joanna & Emily from EUROMUEVETE, promoting democratic engagement
“GEYC ID” by Gabriel from GEYC, showcasing digital youth work
Looking Forward: PRISMA’s Commitment for 2025 and Beyond
As PRISMA moves into its next decade, the network has committed to several key areas:
Strengthening digital transformation in youth work
Supporting sustainable and inclusive practices
Advocating for youth participation in democratic processes
Expanding partnerships to scale impact across Europe
The organization views the past ten years as just the beginning, with the next decade focused on scaling up, deepening impact, and shaping systemic change together with its community.
The PRISMA EU10 celebration was supported through the Erasmus+ Youth Accreditation program, reflecting the network’s continued partnership with European Union initiatives to advance youth work across the continent.
