Empowering Youth Through Active Citizenship in Sardinia

From September 1–8, 2024, youngsters from across Europe met in Cagliari, Sardinia, for an inspiring Erasmus+ youth exchange. The project focused on active citizenship, participation in communities, and the European Youth Goals, including “Space and Participation for All” and “Connecting EU with Youth.”

Participants took part in dynamic workshops and outdoor activities using non-formal education methods, such as team-building games, debates, and brainstorming. These activities will helped them:

• Develop teamwork and leadership skills.
• Gain insights into EU opportunities and democratic processes.
• Enhance their ability to create inclusive, youth-focused initiatives in their communities.

Beyond the sessions, participants enjoyed the cultural richness of Sardinia, staying at the historic Marina district and bonding over shared meals featuring local cuisine. This exchange not only boosted intercultural understanding but also equipped young people with the tools to drive meaningful change back home.
